Eyebrow make-up has become an indispensable part of the morning routine of many women. Perfectly shaped and painted eyebrows are very important as they make us feel self-confident and pretty. Which products will help us get this look? Read on to find out which eyebrow cosmetics are recommended.
How to shape your eyebrows?
First, it’s important to determine the proper shape of your eyebrows. For this reason use some cosmetics and gadgets to help you. You will need:
- eyebrow pencil to mark the contours of the brow,
- a comb or a brush from an old mascara to comb the hairs,
- scissors to trim the hairs,
- tweezers to pluck some hairs,
- ice cubes or a pain relief cream.
Lets start with the right contour of the brow. To the flare of the nostril place the eyebrow pencil and move it as follows:
- Touch the inner corner of the eye – it will be the beginning of the eyebrow.
- Touch the outer corner of the eye to mark the end of the brow.
- Look straight ahead. Set the eyebrow pencil so that it matches the outer edge of the iris and mark a place where the eyebrow arch should be.
Then connect all the marked places to make the eyebrow contour. The hairs that are outside the lines should be removed. Use your tweezers to pluck them. If you want to minimize the pain and irritation, stretch the skin slightly and use a few ice cubes afterwards or a pain easing cream. If your hairs are too long, you should trim them gently. Comb your eyebrows to check their shape.
Which eyebrow products to choose?
Eyebrow care and make-up cosmetics can be divided into two groups: semipermanent and for everyday use.
- Semipermanent cosmeticsThe most popular is henna, which can be further grouped into:
- traditional (powdery) – gives the effect of expressive eyebrows lasting about two weeks; it’s available in black, graphite or brown.
- instant – is a one-component product, has similar durability and colours to traditional henna;
- gel – has a completely different formula, lasts for about 14 days, is available in a dark brown, black and graphite colour.
- Cosmetics for everyday use
This croup includes such cosmetics as: pencils, pomades, shadows. All of them precisely emphasize the eyebrow arch, last throughout the day, mask the gaps in the brow and complement the whole make-up. The shade of the product should match the colour of your hair and eyebrows, but also the colour of the iris. Other products worth using are eyebrow gels and mascaras. The first one is easy and convenient to use because it is applied with a brush. Its task is to darken the hairs and make them shine. The second cosmetic, the eyebrow mascara, has similar properties to concealer, but it dries much faster. For this reason, it must be applied quickly and precisely.
