HOW TO PROTECT HAIR AGAINST THE SUN?

1. Cover is what’s really crucial – a hat, a cap or a scarf

Of course, the easiest way is to hide the hair against the solar radiation. In the past, women used lace umbrellas and wide-brimmed hats. Today, we can replace them with, for example, a boater, a beach hat, or regular caps. It doesn’t matter what we put on our head. What does matter is that we hide our hair, provide oxygen access and, of course, protect against the sun. For that reason, the material a certain headwear is made of should be airy and block UV radiation.

2. Summer edition cosmetics are helpful

Every time we don’t have the possibility to hide hair from the sun, we can take care of it in a different way. Our cosmetic market features many products designed to take care and protect hair in the summer. Frequently, these products are in the form of mist, conditioner or hair wash. They contain UV filters that either absorb the damaging radiation or bounce it off. Moreover, it’s advisable to choose products containing, among others, chamomile extract, nut extract, willow extract, amber extract, aloe extract and avocado extract. All of these substances carry features that are very important for hair – they protect against the damaging factors and, additionally, deliver moisturisation and limit hair ageing processes.

3. Natural oils provide indispensable protection

If we don’t want to overburden our hair with another products featuring alcohols, silicones and other redundant additives, it’s a good idea to reach for natural oils. They can be used as individual protective cosmetics. To make a long story short, the oils which protect hair against the solar radiation are: raspberry seed oil, wheat shoot extract and sweet almond oil. All of them are easy accessible and fairly cheap.
